The oil warning light comes on intermittently on my 85 Carrera 3.2, at idle and whilst driving. The oil pressure is good, Approx. 1 bar per 1000rpm and the level is fine. Faulty sender maybe? Anyone had a similar issue?  :)

Sounds like the sender until to me.  I had one go recently.  Simple job to replace and for once quite cheap.

Thanks mate. Am I right in thinking it's the sensor under the inlet manifold on the MAF side? The red sensor?

Yep, thats the one.  It can be a little bugger to get to.  I think I paid £20 for it.  Make sure you get OEM.  The aftermarket ones fail all the time.

I got an OEM one from Design911 for £30 delivered. It took about 20 minutes to change and the old one was weeping oil. No more flashing warning light!

Its a common problem and easily fixed as you discovered JK.  Good work!
