It's about time we had a m911 Forum get together.  To get things rolling im propising a blast down to Brighton via Hastings.  The route (to be agreed) will take us via the twisty bits as much as possible so we can enjoy our 911's as much as possible.

We'll need a start point, that is as central as much as possible, not too far off route and easily found by all.  It also needs to enough parking for those who get there early, waiting for those that didnt  disdain023.gif

The overall itinery might go something like this:

- meet somewhere, like Brands Hatch;
- drive down to hastings, stop for fish and chips etc;
- drive along the coast road
- stop at Beachy head for coffee and a chat
- head off back.

Or a variation of the above.

Please shout if your interested so we can get an Idea of numbers. We dont need many to make it fun!

We can sort out the details as we develop this thread.  Remember to click "Watch Topic" to get updates....

Sounds good Pete. Its all about the timing of it for me to make it as got so much on at the moment. I'm away for the classic Le Mans in early July too so probably not a do-er for me until towards end of July as i am all spent out after last two months adventures and car bits.

How about meeting in the pub opposite Poll hill garden centre Badgers Mount?
Then out to Crawley via Westerham, Edenbridge, Lingfield - some great twisties where I used to go road testing motorbikes in my mispent youth...
From Crawley we can either continue down the A23 into Brighton (not too exciting, but is direct and gets us to the coast quickest), or find a cross country route to Tonbridge then down the A21 to Hastings and the rest as per Pete's original post

I like that idea Carlo.

Let's also start looking at dates.

On the assumption it's a Saturday afternoon, we have the following dates in July - 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

Or just in case we cant organise ourselves, we have August 7 and 14.

Any takers?

Hi Guys -

Taking Paul's point about holiday we should maybe extend te planning window to the end of august and maybe even consider Sundays, in whuch case I can do: July 10, 11, 17, 18, 31 and August 1, 7, 8, 21, 22, 28 and 29.

Maybe we should try and pin a date down then.  If we went with 24th July how may could make it?

The Colonel

Yep, count me in for the 24th, good choice of date.

It's looking hopeful !

I'm a maybe for the 24th, cant really commit until i know what else is happening to me that weekend unfortunately. To be honest i feel a little OD'd on driving at the moment after two 700mile roundtrippers to Spa and Le Mans as well as using the car daily for 30odd miles....not to mention my fuel bills !  Will see nearer the time.

Well, it looks like it's going to be 24th July.  So far we have:

The Colonel;
and possible Markj

There are a couple of other maybe's.  I'll keep you updated.  Remember to keep the 24th free in your diaries  :agree:

OK.  So its Saturday the 24th July.  Shall we say we meet between 1pm and 1.30pm???? at:

The Toby Carvery
Badgers Mount
London Road
Seven Oaks
TN14 7AD

The half hour window should give everyone time to arrive.

We probably should agree and couple of stop points along the cost in case any get lost they can find there way to these?  Any ideas?

Hi Guys –

Carlo can’t make it this weekend as something has unavoidably come up.  Carlo was the route master for the run.  We can either delay our run to a later date, or go ahead and make our own way down.  I’m sure Carlo would give us a set of directions....

What’s everyone preferences.  Go for it, or delay a few weeks….  I’m good either way.

Posted: Jul 19, 2010 7:11:23 pm

Im also OK either way.

Stop the press.......

A few people can't make it now, so it would only be a couple tjat could make it.

Let's postpone and try again for August or September.

Same route same plane, just a different date.....

OK, so round two.  Here's dates between now and the end of September.  We should be able to find a date that works for most of us.

July: 31

August: 1, 8, 21, 22, 28, 29

Sept: 4, 11, 12, 18, 25, 26
