It appears they put it all back together, with new stainless crossover and intermediate
exhaust pipes.................................................
and it wouldn't start!!!!
Apparantly needs a new crank sensor, so hopefully I can collect it tomorrow.

Those crank sensors can be a pain.  Ive had a few new ones over the years.  They are quite expensve too considering they are just a magnet.... (wallbash)

Collected the car today, it turned out that it was not the crank sensor,
some dimwit had fitted a STAINLESS bolt to the flywheel, so the sensor
would not pick it up, as Stainless is non-magnetic.
Porsche were very apologetic, and gave me the sensor FOC.
Total bill came to just over £1300.
New clutch, clutch cable, flywheel & bolts, 5 hoses, engine oil & filter, gearbox oil,
crank oil seal, and fitting of new S/S crossover & intermediate exhaust pipes.

Glad the old girl is back on the road.  £1300 for all tat doesnt seem to too bad.  There's a fair bit of work in what you've had done.

I had a similar problem with the fly wheel sensor.  Someone had put a cap head nut, and my new motec system was double counting because of the air gap in the cap head slot.  Amazing....  Took bloody ages to find that out.
