hi all
this is my 1st thread so be gentle i went to have a look at my 1st 911 last night a 2002 911 targa everything was fine until i looked underneath , there was a fair amount of oil , it was if looking from the back of the car just about 10" to the left of the oil filter and about 2-4" forward ,needless to say i didnt buy it but i am going to get a ppi done , does anyone know what it might be that leaking hopefully the picture will load up thanks garyhibberd |

Looks like the photo didnt upload. I've created a sister site for hosting Porsche video and Pictures, called www.p101tv.com. If you upload your pics there, you can post them again and again in forums and blogs without having to re-upload. On to your problem. Unfortunately an oil leak on a 911 engine is hard to find. The drips on the engine and on the floor dont necessarily mean thats the precise location. The oil can travel away from the source. As a few pointers, it could be: - Oil Pressure warning switch; - oil sender unit; - cam covers; - oil filter or just a spil..... You'll need to get in further for more investigation..... See if you can get some pics on here for a better look.... |
