Great work Hu......

are these units from your car, or have you bought these seprately as an upgrade...Are you goung to brush enamel them or spray them?

It helps you have a sandblaster to hand.  I must get one of those when space/funds allow......

I bought them off E-bay for £80!!
I spent another 3 hrs today on the fronts, and gave all 4 a blow over with undercoat,
I'm going to paint them crackle black, with rattle cans fron Halfords, £4 a can.

If you're reading this post on refurbing brake calipers, you might like to know which sand blaster I used,
It's this one, I used Kiln Dried Paving sand from Wickes, which cost £3:80 a bag,I used half a bag
on all 4 calipers.
I soaked the calipers overnight in a bucket of Petrol to get the old paint off, and then cleaned them up
on a rotary wire brush, before sand blasting them.

I changed all my Calipers for rebuilt ones this weekend, also fitted stainless
brake hoses.
My problem is, I cannot get a good pedal.
I've tried, up - down bleed method, I've tried, pump up pedal and bleed method,
I've tried servo running, servo not running,
I've bled the master cylinder,
I've tried everything, but still pedal goes to the floor, it will pump up,
but goes straight away again, once you leave it for a minute,
I've used about 2 litres of fluid and been at it for four hours!!!!!

Oh no...  I have had that......  I tried everything you list and in the end it was the master cylinder.  It was fine before I had all the brakes off, but was buggered when I put it back!

Have you tried pressure bleeding as a last resort....

No, not yet, I have a few things to try first, but I am thinking a new Master cylinder is on the cards!

I bet it ends up being the master cylinder.  I hope not, but it seems a fairly common problem....

The Saga continues...............................
Fitted a new Master Cylinder today, I now have a half decent pedal,
still not what it should be though.
Another 2 litres of Motul RBF600 wasted!!!!

No mate, I could not get a decent pedal, (wallbash)  so I've taken the car to LotusSport, a mate of mine,
who is going to sort it, and fit all the other bits for me, as I haven't got the time!!!! :happy07:
