A 'rough' ;) approximation of this good advice for Brands GP can be found in the video section.
In topic "Whats your favourite circuit"
UK: Brands GP or Oulton Park International
Europe: The Ring :D
Ring
Brands GP
Oulton Park
(possibly Spa once I've actually driven it)

I have always wanted to drive the Nurburgring, but I hear its a dangerous place and one where you get charges if you break the circuit or drop oil on the track.  Maybe I'll stick to driving it on PS3  disdain023.gif

Shall we just call you pussy Pete then mate  ? You're starting to sound like Jevvy with his Ring fear ! - lol

3.2 deg neg camber at the rear is pretty impressive place to start GwynThere were definitely significant production tolerances when Porsche built these old girls!!Getting more than about 1.5 degs neg front camber on a standard car is pretty difficult unless you get the file out on the top mounts, or use a strut brace to start pulling the inner wings together!!Pulling the wings can lead to bonnet closure issues so be careful...

As you say Carlo, it varies from car to car. I've got 2.5 degs neg on the front of my SC (no top mount mods needed). I have a strut brace but it's not set so tight that it pulls the shock towers in, just keeps them from moving.

Already ribbed the tall guy about the track-day no show this year Jev - lol

And presumably you're allowed to say you're doing a trackday to go as fast as you can (without getting slapped for putting off newbies :) )

ps I love the 1930's don't you ?

Hi Mike

Car looks fantastic.

I had some tuition with you last year at Silverstone GP (went out with Anthony too). My car was the dark blue SC with SSIs. You seemed to enjoy yourself I couldn't get you out of driver's seat ! Learnt a lot about what my SC was capable of that day thanks.

Cheers - Gary

Some ideas for lines at Brands GP. Video of me mostly getting it right and occasionally wrong (watching the mistakes is as useful as the right lines I reckon). Thanks to Carlbon for suggesting these lines in the first place.

Puma Future Hi-Cat race boots. Didn't realise how much of a difference they made until I forgot them last time out at Snett. Feet were slipping about all over the place in trainers, not a good feeling.

Puma race gloves - as the laps mount up so does the worn skin!
Depends what fits yer noggin' mate. That's all that matters. I went to Grand Prix RaceWear in London and tried on all (and I mean 'all' of their full-face models). Bell fitted me best. Wore it in the shop for 10 minutes or so but when I got it home I  found that having it on for longer than 10 minutes caused pressure points on my forehead. Took it back and got one size larger. Perfect. Now fits like a glove. They say you should try it on for at least 15/20 minutes to ensure a good fit.

Mine:

Pricey but very light and you only have one head !

They now do a nice darker blue one (would match your car nicely Pete and has your name on it too :) )

Full-face for me. I've been in a couple of bad (read windscreen/side-window in  :o ) road crashes (not my fault obviously ;)) and wouldn't go open face on track.

ps Why does the forum software remove all the commas ? My posts are starting to look like SEE YAs - lol
